Five-time winner of Best Upscale Restaurant in Vancouver Magazine’s Restaurant Awards, Hawksworth Restaurant is glamorous and elegant, yet relaxed and welcoming with warm and attentive service. Hawksworth Restaurant is located in the heart of the city at Georgia and Howe Streets within the legendary Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Great food, Great cocktails.
One of my fav go-to spots when I want a really good meal or am feeling a nicer night out. Great seafood place, and an absolute staple in the Vancouver food scene. I suggest the seafood linguini!
A newcomer to the Vancouver food scene, I've yet to have a chance to eat at St Lawrence, though it arrives with amazing fanfare and photos of some spectacular looking food! A great choice if you're in the mood for something French! Alternatively, L'abbottoir is also a fantastic choice!!
The original "casual fine dining", Cactus Club's are located all over the city and are a great place for reliably good food and a drink, and are easy to find! The yam fries are a hit here!
Similar to Cactus Club in a lot of ways, Joeys is another chain restaurant popular for an easy place to pick for a meal. Food and service is at a standard, great for an easy meal
Another Vancouver classic, Steamworks Brewery has been in Vancouver for a long while. Known for it's selection of on-site and off-site microbrewery style beer, it's a popular stop for travellers. Located right on the water near Gastown, and with plenty of seating space, Steamworks is the place to be for a burger and a beer!
Originally starting on the island in the teeny tiny surfing town of Tofino in a food truck, Tacofino is amazing for tacos, nachos, and a delicious margherita! Locations in Yaletown and Gastown... but seriously... try the nachos.
BREAKFAST / BRUNCH
TWISTED FORK (DOWNTOWN LOCATION)
Basically my all time, and longest running favourite brunch place in the city! There's usually a bit of a wait as there's only 12 or 14 tables, but they will happily add you to a waitlist and send you a message when your table is ready! Friendly staff, and Cory (head chef/co-owner) always makes amazing food!!
Another favourite, and open for breakfast/brunch every day!! Chambar also has a sister restaurant with a similar menu called Cafe Medina, also delicious and cute, but Chambar is generally easier to get in to and takes reservations!
A nice little restaurant near Gastown that serves up a pretty spectacular brunch! (Brunch is basically a sporting event in Vancouver if you can't already tell haha). Also serves brunch every day until 3pm!
